Born in Italy 1969, Maria Eugenia MAFFI lives in France since 1992. Passionate by music, cellist by education, she obtained her diploma at the Music Conservatory "Guiseppe Verdi" at Turin, Italy (musical education and chamber music) and the Music Conservatory at Menton, France (diploma cello in the class of Jacques Perrone). At the same time, she forms herself at the departement of snare instruments of the Music academy "Prince Rainier III" at Monaco (principality of Monaco) in the class of Alper Freyman and there she studies harmony, orchestration, arranging she studies with Antonio Secondo at Sanremo (Italy). Cellist of the "Quartet Ladybirds", she also plays in different ensembles "l'Ensemble orchestral Sola-Voce" and "l'Ensemble orchestral des Soirées Lyriques-Crescendo" at Monaco; she performed several concerts with the orchestra of Professors from the Music Conservatory at Menton. In love with the cello, it was her wish that all cellists could have admission to very famous works, not specifically written for cello, but for piano, orchestra, guitar, voice..., whereby she respects the original part of the composer in her arrangements and transcriptions.
